USCG, Prevention Department Head, Sector Upper Mississippi River

Lieutenant Commander (LCDR) Daniel Every serves as Prevention Department Head at United States Coast Guard’s (USCG) Sector Upper Mississippi River in St. Louis, Missouri. In this capacity, Every leads a group of more than 135 personal, including three Marine Safety Detachments and five River Buoy Tender Cutters. The Sector Upper Mississippi River and  Every are responsible for the oversight of the Coast Guard’s Marine Safety missions in an 11-state area that includes the Missouri, Illinois, and Upper Mississippi River basins and tributary waters to facilitate more than $42 billion in economic activity per year.
