Aaron Katrancha is the Director of Breakbulk, Ro-Ro & Rail Sales at the Port of Virginia and is responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating a comprehensive breakbulk/ro-ro sales plan that focuses efforts and resources on those cargoes and customers the Port of Virginia has the best capabilities to handle. Katrancha is also responsible for rail business development initiatives to help extend the Port of Virginia’s reach to inland markets for both containerized and non-containerized markets. Prior to joining the Port of Virginia in 2019, Katrancha gained extensive experience in the transportation, ports and shipping industry, serving in a number of sales and business development roles with Norfolk Southern Railroad over the prior 14 years. These roles included working with beneficial cargo owners, steamship lines, and ports to develop both containerized and non-containerized international business throughout NS’s vast connections in North America.
