Tracking the Progress of Autonomous Railcars

Monday, May 23 – Learn about the advances being made by St. Louis start-up Intramotev Autonomous Rail in the development of an autonomous, zero-emissions railcar that would be able to operate without the use of a locomotive. Autonomous railcars would enable better use of the U.S. freight rail network and help mitigate the type of supply chain challenges occurring around the globe while reducing pollution in the rail industry.

Timothy Luchini, Ph.D., is currently the CEO of Intramotev Autonomous Rail. For the last 10 years, he has led teams and has been developing mobility solutions technologies. His projects at Intramotev Autonomous Rail include developing remote and autonomous battery electric freight rail solutions that can compete with the speed and flexibility of trucking. With more than 15 technical publications and 6 patents, his work has not only been published, but also produced.
